Best Buy Canada – Pass the Present

Best Buy Canada wanted a social campaign to highlight their top holiday gifts to Mom, the Chief Gift Buyer.

Inspired by the traditional holiday game, we created created a digital “Pass the Present” Facebook app with over 400 carefully wrapped prizes available to be won instantly. Players were prompted to rip the wrapping to see if they’d won one of Best Buy’s “Favourite Things”, then encouraged to pass the present along to a friend so they could have a chance to win.

The results of the two-week campaign were impressive: The target audience of females aged 35-54 were the most frequent players, the Best Buy Canada Facebook page received 15,000 new “Likes” for a 17% gain, and over 3 million impressions were delivered, with over 2.5 million being delivered organically.
