<p>In one of my last meetings with the <a href="http://www.facebook.com/KeepExploring" title="Keep Exploring Canada">Canada Keep Exploring</a> team in Vancouver, I mentioned offhand that Commander Chris Hadfield was doing a stellar job of living into the centuries-old Canadian tradition of exploration, and that it fit nicely with our output over the four years I spent working on the CTC&#8217;s international and domestic projects.</p>
<p>It didn&#8217;t necessarily fit into any brief, so far as I knew. But lo and behold, there were some behind-the-scenes negotiations being finalized with a little organization called TED. Nearly a month after leaving Vancouver to explore Europe, this was such a rad surprise.</p>
